India have a target of 100GW of Solar by 2022, which is being driven by the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission (JNNSM) and is aimed at reducing the cost of power generation and a sustainable growth of the country. In line with the JNNSM scheme we have set a target of 1 GW of commissioned Ground Mounted Grid-Connected Solar PV projects by 2022.

Maharashtra Phase – I 100 MW (10 x 10 MW)

The Government of Maharashtra under its ‘Mukhyamantri Solar Ag feeder Scheme’ for giving day time power to Agricultural consumers invited a tender of 1000 MW solar power in 218 talukas through MSEDCL. Juniper Green Energy had a keen interest is this scheme as this being distributed generation of solar power which will be consumed for agriculture load at local level hence, reducing distribution losses in the system and increasing stability of the grid. Juniper Green Energy secured 100 MW capacity in this competitive bid and MSEDCL has entered into Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for purchase of solar power for a period of 25 years from the Commercial Operation Date of these solar power projects.
